Course Description

MTC021 SHARING THE FAITH

This course provides Biblical and practical training in sharing the Gospel with others. Students will focus on the work of evangelism and how God can use their own story in sharing the Gospel.

4 weeks / 8 hours

Goals and Objectives

MTC

MTC students will
  1. ground their lives in the truth of God’s Word.
  2. translate their knowledge and skills into mission action.
  3. serve as unifying mission leaders in their communities.
  4. pursue ongoing learning for service in mission and ministry.

COURSE

Knowing Objectives (Cognitive Formation): The student will

  1. learn what evangelism is from a biblical perspective.
  2. demonstrate Gospel fluency.
  3. grow in their appreciation for the power of prayer for evangelism.

Being Objectives (Spiritual Formation): The student will

  1. have a deeper appreciation for Jesus’ love for them personally.
  2. develop a heart of love and compassion for those who don’t know Christ.
  3. engage in a life of prayer for those without Jesus.

Doing Objectives (Conative Formation): The student will

  1. learn how to more naturally engage others in spiritual conversations.
  2. develop their ability to actively listen to better discern other’s needs.
  3. ask powerful questions that open up spiritual conversations.
  4. develop their own story of faith for sharing the Gospel with others.
