Course Description

MTC013-SED STARTING NEW MINISTRIES

This course is designed to begin to equip leaders with models, principles, strategies, and methodologies for starting new ministries and reaching out to people in the community. It surveys Biblical materials on starting new ministries, examines recent literature and resources, and evaluates successful ministry starts.

4 weeks / 8 hours

Goals and Objectives

MTC

MTC students will
  1. ground their lives in the truth of God’s Word.
  2. translate their knowledge and skills into mission action.
  3. serve as unifying mission leaders in their communities.
  4. pursue ongoing learning for service in mission and ministry.

COURSE

Being Objectives (Spiritual Formation): The student will

  1. have a renewed love for the Church.
  2. affirm the priority of prayer and how to build a prayer team.
  3. have a conviction for starting new mission-oriented ministries.
  4. have a heart for the lost.

Knowing Objectives (Cognitive Formation): The student will

  1. identify ministry priorities for new ministry starts.
  2. understand how to build a launch team.
  3. know how to sustain and manage a new start.
  4. identify Scripture’s call to multiply disciples through new ministries.

Doing Objectives (Conative Formation): The student will

  1. begin to make decisions and plans to move into a new start mindset and activity.
  2. develop an intentional discipleship strategy which focuses on training local people to live and think with a new start mindset.
