Ablaze!
Process
includes a series of modules, each comprised of six weeks of meetings designed to help congregational members to incorporate Gospel outreach into their lifestyle, to help them form relationships with their unchurched neighbors and to form a variety of small group types as support structures for their ministry. It has been shown that most people are willing to commit to a short-term series of learning experiences. There are three series designed to support the outreach process among church members: Motivation to Mission, Praying to Our Father and Natural Evangelism.
The heart of Groups Ablaze! is the outreach process, Ablaze! Living, which teaches the four effective behaviors of Praying Leaders, Focused Outreach, Loving Relationships, and Empowering Leaders. These behaviors are exhibited over and over again by effective Gospel outreach ministries all over the world. A goal of this process is to form interest, or affinity groups as an atmosphere in which individual and group relationships can be forged.
A Seeker Series is something that a group may use with unchurched people who have an interest in the Gospel as a result of relationships they have formed with church members.
Leadership development is supported by another six-week series, Coaching Toolkit.
An initial module, A Vision for the Harvest, makes the case for small group outreach in a congregation, and includes an assessment tool to measure in that congregation the four effective behaviors mentioned above. This module is available as a resource on this web site.
